So after taking inspiration from Ben Salisburys and Geoff Barrows I decided to try and remake and implement my own sound design into the beautiful scene from this film. From researching the sound design that went into the film it became apparent that there was some expensive equipment used that was out of my price range and not something I would be able to afford. According to Ben Salisbury in an interview with slate magazine (that I shall link below), "it would have been done on the Oberheim Two Voice and put through various secret ingredients". Now if it was not for the ambiguity of the secret ingredients then I may have stood a chance, although this made me realise that even though I cannot afford yet alone get my hands on a vintage Oberheim, now my chance of trying to remake the sound was very slim.

This did however spark a concerning desire in me to try and figure out just how the sound was made. Through trial and a lot of error I believe I have something that is somewhat replicable to the original sound that I am happy with.

The Alien Scene sound was created through Serum

After bouncing them down to stems this saved CPU so that my MacBook was not working overboard on the plugins.
