So today i spent a good 3 hours editing audio for the game trailer. Should have been 4 but i spent an hour figuring out why nothing was coming out the speakers, finally figured there was a cut button on the dadman interface. Joy.

Anyways, it was a good session as i managed to cue and experiment different sounds to achieve the different characteristics of sounds i wanted combined. I managed to find two samples of different gun sounds one of a browning and another a sub machine gun. The reason i involved two samples was because there wasnt enough low end content i was happy with just with the submachine gun so the browning really helped there (ofcourse).

It was interesting to experiment with different time based effects such as reverb and white noise in the beginning of the trailer as i wanted it to resemble the dazed and confusion that the character must have felt after such a confusing and disorienting event that had taken place prior (as seen in the flashback). I also found a good monster sample for the monster that reveals himself.

I am looking to record Foley sounds for the trailer, luckily i can do this in the S6 so hopefully next time i can do this.
