So as of where we left off, I have began working through my asset list, which included sourcing the sounds that were needed and implementing them into the game. I have had issues with a bug with the game not triggering a certain sound ('Coin_Pickup') that I have tried extensively to fix, including emailing multiple people about the issue. In regards to this issue, I have had to reinstall the game and the Wwise software back to the original state and restart the whole process. This caused a few issues I had before, such as my sound banks not configuring to the appropriate place on my Mac. This was fixed by reconfiguring it the the correct spot.
Apart from this issue, I have imported the sounds necessary and only have a few sounds to implement and record (VO for the main character). I am going to be recording this tomorrow however and I will be quick to implement this into the game so I can adjust any final changes and edit any assets that require to do so. I will then give the assets a final mix so that the sounds fit naturally into the game. This will bring an end to the woodlands area of the Wwise Adventure game, and I look forward to finally being able to create a showreel using this part of the game. It has required me to learn various techniques and process' with middleware that I have not had prior experience with so I am happy to be finalising everything to submit for the 'School of Video Game Audio'. I will still work on this game when I have finished the course and improve my skills with this middleware as I have still only yet had a month or so to get to grips with this software and everything is still relatively new to me. Once I have some time after finishing, I will revisit some of the workflows and techniques used in this middleware such as blend containers and RTCP's to fully get to grips and understand these principles.
